This site is for you, so I need your help.

I made this site for you guys, so you guys would come back to it everyday to see what is going on in my world, but most importantly the technology world. I have done everything I can think of to make this site a success, and frankly, since I have had it, it has just been pretty average.

What can I do to make you guys want to check out JoeDTrick.com everyday? I think the design is good enough, so what am I missing?

  • Posting informative content daily: Check
  • Good design: Check
  • Live Show page: Check
  • People visiting everyday: Not Check

This is where you guys come in. In the comments below, tell me what would make YOU want to come back and visit this site every single day. I appreciate those of you who actually take the time to help me out.

Hey, i was thinking of a possible daily poll or something, where viewers could vote for the upcomming video topic once a day and they could vote once each day if they choose to, would help increase the sites traffic.
Another idea is to have a daily or every other day question and answers page, where you open a page up to questions and then you go live on blogtv.com or ustream and answer the viewers questions.

You need a non-Ustream chat room.
Get a room on PowerIRC (connect to a non existent room on irc.powerirc.org), then place an IRC client on your live page (like eris) to let guests connect to it. Get a good desktop client for yourself as well, like Colloquy (Mac OS X only)
If you do that, you’ll get more people engaged in chatting, because they won’t have to log in to Ustream, which not alot of people have in contrast to YouTube, Twitter, etc.
It wouldn’t bring me back every day, but it would let me have better feelings of your live page :P

I don’t know about you guys, but since the website started, I visited it EVERY hour. I quess I come here to see whats happening in the tech news. I come here because I don’t want to search everywhere just to find a little bit of news. For example, the article you posted about Steve Jobs and the app, was very interesting. So basiclly I’m saying that anything new(up to date) or a subject that is not really talked about that is interesting(like the one with steve and the app) is what I would like to see.
I hope this comment made sense to you, if not, then please reply and I will try to explain better.
    Sincerly,

Make sure you post regularly, and everytime you do post tweet it out on Twitter!!

If still no success, then stop worrying about it, I sometimes think about getting rid of my website because nobody hardly visits it. Maybe you could just stick with your YouTube channel, thats what I’m thinking of doing…

You could try posting Jailbreaking tips for iPod owners who have Jailbroken iPod’s. I would also suggest embedding your YouTube videos on your site. It would gain viewers as well as increased site traffic.
