It is now confirmed that Apple has purchased the music streaming service lala. The amount of money they spent has not been release, but its Apple, they probably played a pretty good amount even thought I have never heard of this company before this.
Now, the question all of us are asking is, “Why on earth would Apple buy a music streaming service? They have iTunes!”
Ladies and Gentlemen, I have the answer.
The only reason I can think they would buy a music streaming service, was to build an iTunes store, within a browser, to be compatible with the much rumored Apple Tablet.
Now, if you really think about it, it makes sense. Apple’s Tablet is most likely going to be their own spin on a netbook, so its main purpose is to be connected to the internet at all times. If you stick a version of iTunes inside an internet browser, it would be perfect for the tablet. Why? It wouldn’t take up any hard drive space. Which could help make the design thinner for the tablet as it would not need as big of a hard drive.
Also, if you put iTunes in an internet browser, it wouldn’t take up as much RAM and would allow for the computer itself to run faster. Imagine this, you turn on your beloved Apple Tablet and open up your browser and boom. All your music is right there. You still have to pay for songs and all that jazz, but you would just stream the music to your computer over the internet. Makes sense right?
Another purpose of this is so people could access their music anywhere in the world. I could be at my grandmas house and just pull up my iTunes library over at her house through her internet browser.
Those are just my thoughts on why Apple purchased this music streaming company, and I think these reasons make pretty good sense. Anybody agree with me? Have your own reasons? Tell me below, this is the best I could think of.

I think this is really good idea if they integrate this with the apple tablet, great post btw!
